Axel Torres punctured in 14 points along with eight rebounds and three steals as the Junior Archers sustained their fiery charge, heralding their serious bid to stop the four-peat campaign of Ateneo this season. 

Gabby Reyes added 14 markers and Renzo Subido made nine points and grabbed four rebounds for DLS-Z, which is looking to capture its first diadem since Simon Atkins and his crew brought the crown to their Alabang campus in 2007.

The Junior Archers ripped the game apart with a third-quarter assault that pushed them unassailably ahead at 47-27 to beat the Bullpups (4-3), who were led by Ralph Atangan’s 15 points, seven rebounds and three assists and Paul Baliton’s 12."

YEAR ONE.

Titan opened it's doors a year ago, and since then it has inspired countless kids to ball better, to look fresh, and to be well groomed. Some may call it "The Home Of Sneakerheads", which is not a fair, nor complete assessment of the establishment. It's more than that.

I call them family.

Hoop dreams come alive in this place. A country club for like-minded individuals. The headquarters of basketball glory. For some, Titan provides an escape from PMS-ing girlfriends... Or a place to spiffen up before a hot date. For a few, the starting point of a revolution... and for many, a place of reward - the last stop at the end of a long, victorious day.

Last Friday people flocked the Titan flagship at The Fort to celebrate it's first birthday. Everyone was there: From the regular joe, to industry people in the know. From media personalities, to hardcourt ballers and professional athletes. Even SBTG graced the dope event with his presence, which meant art scene folk were also in attendance.

The event gave off a house party vibe (reminiscent of the ones we have in the south), but the energy was electric. Anxious urbanites loosened up immediately upon entering the party. With models and bottles 'round, who wouldn't be?

Our fam at UNSCHLD also brought their good stuff over! You folks should not sleep on their DVT apparel... Heard it's extremely limited. I got myself a hoodie, which I am absolutely happy with. Congrats yo!

Amazing food and drinks were provided by Titan's next door neighbor Bugsy's! Every bit was delish, too bad we missed the burgers... We'll be back for that!

Good music was not on short supply either! Mars Miranda, MikeCons, DJ Switchtrik and BigBoy provided party life music the entire night! Salutes to you guys!

For Titan, and for yours truly, this was another night to truly realize just how blessed we are. I pride myself in being an individual, but still thankful that I'm part of this movement, this revolution that Titan has taken upon itself to push on. I am truly grateful that I'm in this culture with them.

So congratulations to the entire Titan fam, year one is in the books! And we're on to the next!

For a blog that is deeply influenced by basketball, LOCKER ROOM LEGENDS' very first entry, ironically, was about a skate shoe. It was a pair of Brown Rattan Janoskis that was given to me by Nike Ph and weLEGENDARY as prize in NikeTalk's 11th Anniversary raffle (see LOVE AT FIRST SKATE).

In a lot of ways, weLEGENDARY has helped shape the way I enjoy shoes and it has expanded my taste in footwear. I used to be adamant about not wearing skate shoes - really because I don't skate. My SB knowledge is next to zero, and I'm afraid I might make myself look like a clown by rockin' it the wrong way. I might not do the culture any justice by wearing a chill pair my way.

But wL made me go against myself. Not by force, mind you... Rather they started dismantling my conviction and philosophy with their warm and kind vibe. like, "It's okay, buddy. We like to rock our joints the same way you do: 'I DON'T GIVE A F#CK' style".

When I won that raffle, I trusted Jojo to pick me a good pair for my prize. Being honest about not knowing a thing about SBs, he nodded and assured me he got me covered. Boom! A week later, he got me the Janoskis. I'm not sure about the other winners, but I never considered selling that pair out of respect. It sat on top of my shelf for a month, then I rocked it. The game has never been the same since.

First time I ever set foot inside wL RONAC, Moy made me feel at home, chatted a bit about fitteds and snapbacks.

Went to Davao a few months back, and Mark was kind enough to tweet me good places to see and good food to eat... So I returned the favor and visited wL MTS where Killian welcomed me with Davao's trademark fam vibe.

weLegendary, in some way, has done the same for you... One way or another, they've made you feel like YOU're part of the team. Something positive... Something powerful.

No wonder they got THAT much love. Happy, excited customers 2 floors deep!

3 years is not a long time. And for them to gather that much love that fast says a lot about the store, the people behind it, and the folks who support the culture. So with that, I raise my henny cup to weLEGENDARY...
