LOCKER ROOM LEGENDS CO-SIGNS: STNDRDS MLA

Photobucket
It's mad easy to make a shirt. Anyone can silkscreen their own joints - put their favorite rapper line on it, or photo of a fresh sneaker, or their favorite ball player's face - then sell them for a profit. Even the tackiest of prints can sell quick. Matter of fact, those are the ones that get fiended on.

It's a whole different game, though, to make a shirt that stands out - not through crazy loud, in your face, witty yet low brow designs - but via an aesthetic that is understated yet got a clear message to deliver. An intellectual marriage of colors, materials and patterns that are tastefully executed, and backed by a strong concept deeply rooted in the streets.

These sensibilities set STNDRDS MLA apart from other local independent streetwear brands that clutter the interwebs. A style set that only few can see, and even fewer can grasp. That kind of hustle is something we can't afford to sleep on... So we co-signed that!

Photobucket
STNDRDS MLA got no gimmicks. Just straight up passion for wanting to stay above everyone else in the game. Their gameplan: supply the right people with the right threads.

They believe that you can't try to do what everyone does and stand out. So that is their goal, to hook you up with products that will put you a notch higher than everyone; knowing that there are people who believe being different is always better than being cool.

Their shirts are custom made so that all their customers get the shirts they want, the way they want it. The pocket's shape, the shirt color down to even the stitching. STNDRDS MLA got you.

Peep their steez! #DopeShit

#ONSMASH /// BIG K.R.I.T "BOOBIE MILES" X "4EVA N A DAY"

PhotobucketOkay... I won't front, the only reason why I bumped this track initially was because of the sports reference from one of my favorite books. If you know your sports lit, Boobie Miles was the high school phenom from "FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS" whose seemingly invisible high school career met a very abrupt and tragic ending.

But after listening to this, wow! This is on some winning tip! I won't go deep technical on it... Just know that the sample, the lyrics, the whole deal made me feel good. Simple as that. Plus, if you got someone big like @MRSOULFIESTA co-signing, then you know it must be fire!

Google BIG K.R.I.T.'s mixtape "4EVA N A DAY", then down that. #DopeShit

LRLS GUIDE TO THE FINER THINGS IN LIFE: ICON BRONCO

Photobucket
I'm big on vintage cars. Don't get it twisted, I love the new models rolling out the assembly line... But I'd rather have a classic. I'd rather have a '54 Gullwing than the fastest, meanest, newest S-Class - even with all the possible power options on it.

One thing about classics though, is you never 'f with it... You know what I'm saying? If you got a '74 2-door Corolla, for the love of God don't put neons on it, or spoilers or spinners or none of that BS, jolog jeje-crap... That is definitely not the business. When bringing it back to life, a classic should remain what it is: a classic.

This though, breaks that rule... And I ain't mad!

Fabricated and perfected by California-based ICON, The new BRONCO is birthed from old, a bit banged up, pre-loved '66 Broncos originally manufactured by Ford. The body panels are treated, detailed, buffed and perfected... And the retro goodness stops there.

The guts of this truck is all new and chock full of tech! From the military supplied axles and chassis, heavy duty suspension, to it's new 420-hp V-8 power plant. Dials, gauges, and the interior as a whole carries the utilitarian DNA of the vintage Bronco... Modern life advantage with old world cool.
