Once a year, the world's greatest ball players gather together to pay homage to the game that they love - to celebrate competition, and to highlight the beauty of the sport. They call it the NBA All-Star Weekend. And this year, it's happening in bright and sunny Orlando.
It is also the perfect time to give back to the fans for the support they have given by putting on a great show. Most fans look forward to the activites and games, but some take it a step further. Literally. Some folks, myself included, look forward to the footwear as much as the competition!
On that note, Nike Basketball is proud to unveil key colorways
celebrating its pinnacle players competing in basketball's big weekend in
Orlando later this month. Taking inspiration from space exploration, the
collection features a galactic theme on the LeBron 9, Nike Zoom KD IV and Nike
Zoom Kobe VII System. Graphics pay homage to the supernova – arguably the most
powerful force in the universe – while the outsoles glow in the dark and
individual ‘mission patches’ adorn each shoe as a nod to the accolades
astronauts receive.
All three editions will be available at select retailers like Titan and at NikeStore.com beginning tomorrow, February 24.
