Although our countrymen went home empty-handed in the recently concluded Summer Olympiad in London, shoe enthusiasts' hearts were consoled by the amount of olympic footwear gold that has dropped locally in the past month or so.
From the coveted 7s to the classic Force 180s, to my personal staple Uptowns, up to my new favorite Flyknits (a report on that is underway and I will be posting it soon), the footwear series from this year's olympics is one we won't forget anytime soon.
There's this one pair though that I've been eyeing since I got the olympic lookbook from Nike - and thanks to our good friends at WeLegendary, we finally have the perfect shoe to close this year's Olympic goodness.
In spirit of the summer of competition, Nike has created a limited editon Blazer Mid LR to celebrate the world’s best athletes coming together this summer in sport, competition and achievement.
A hardwood innovation of the ‘70s, the Blazer cemented its legacy on the basketball court for more than a decade before venturing to the streets as a modern style icon. The newest member of the Blazer family comes in black suede with a reflective swoosh, natural gum rubber outsole and tongue-tag authenticator. Built-in skate shoe traction and an ultra-cushion Nike Lunarlon midsole offers stealth performance and comfort.
The Blazer Mid LR is part of the village wear looks that bring together the best of Nike innovations from its performance basketball and running, training, and lifestyle collections.
Available this Saturday, September 1, at wL RONAC. I am guessing this shoe will set a new wL record for earliest queue time... We'll see. But I am telling you, this shoe is campout worthy.
The Nike Blazer Mid LR will retail for Php 3,495.
